C. Michael Mitchell is a Vice-Chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He practiced law at Sack Goldblatt Mitchell, an Ontario labour law firm, for his entire legal career. He appeared regularly in many cases before the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He also co-authored the leading textbook on the Labour Relations Board. Mr. Mitchell together with the Hon. J. C. Murray was appointed by the Government of Ontario to lead the Changing Workplace Review from February 2015 to March 2017. He co-authored the interim report and the final report of the Review. Mr. Mitchell was appointed through the court insolvency process as Deputy Chief Arbitrator at Essar Steel to clear a backlog of over 3000 grievances. He has served as a Vice-Chair of the Board since 2018.
