Carmine Tiano is Director of Occupational Services at the Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario, an umbrella organization representing 13 international construction unions with 122 locals in Ontario covering 150,000 construction workers. He is responsible for workplace insurance and health and safety. Carmine is also involved with various research bodies and presents at conferences and seminars on occupational health issues.
Carmine holds a MA from York University (Economics), a Diploma in Regulatory Law, and graduated from McMaster University’s Occupational Health program. He is a member of the faculty at the Pacific Coast University where he teaches the disability management and health and safety program.
